1.  What compromise did Moses make with the two tribes who didn't want to enter Canaan, but rather settle east of the Jordan, in Gilead?

1. They must stay with the Israelites until Canaan was settled, then they were free to return to Gilead.
2. They could build houses for the women and children but the men must help fight to secure Canaan before they could return.
3. Moses would trade them the land east of the Jordan but they had to give him Boardwalk and Park Place with hotels.
4. The two tribes could stay there and build cities, but they must continue to supply the Israelites with food, and be ready to fight if needed.
5. They would cast lots to see which tribe would stay, but the other must accompany the rest into Canaan.

2.  What did God tell Moses would happen if he did not drive out all the inhabitants of Canaan?

1. They would eventually lead the Israelites to false gods.
2. They would become a thorn in the side and bring God's judgement on Israel.
3. Those few may grow to do what Israel did to the Egyptians.
